The perfect couple's retreat

The Hideout provides the perfect countryside getaway for those looking for total peace and tranquility.

A large and spacious hut, the Hideout comprises of a comfortable living space, fully equipped kitchenette with sink and gas hob, a wet room with hot and cold running water, shower, handbasin, flushing loo, wood burner and one bedroom with a comfortable double bed upstairs.

Outside this lovely hut benefits from a large decking enabling its guests to take in the truly majestic sea and countryside views. There is also an outside table so that guests can enjoy an al fresco dinning experience and a barbecue/fire-pit for cooking up a storm.

This really is the perfect little country side hideout however, please note, the bedroom is accessed via an internal 6ft ladder which may prove challenging for the lesser abled.

"Forget bland hotels...

...if you want a memorable short break then it's hard to beat waking up to views over the sea and countryside, from your bed in a unique space, built with superb craftsmanship by your friendly host. We spent two windswept November nights, which only made the Shepherds Hut seem even more warm and cosy, and was the perfect base to walk or cycle to Rye, Camber Sands, the lesser known coastline and nature reserves. We also explored a short drive further down the coast and discovered Dungeness which has to be seen to be believed, almost post-apocalyptic, bleak but beautiful, such an interesting place. Awesome break, thanks!"

“Johnny has created something truly special...

...and wonderful on top of the hill. We had a lovely stay with our dogs. The beach was nice and close for long dogs walks, we enjoyed a lovely dinner at the local pub at the top of the drive. The Shepherds Hut was bigger than we expected, it was so clean and cosy and the views are spectacular. Johnny was friendly and even gave us some eggs for breakfast. Thanks for having us, we'll be back soon!"
